Allison S. Carlson is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Allison assists clients with preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, assessing the patentability of new technologies, and providing freedom to operate opinions. She has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in various fields of technology including plumbing devices, automotive aftertreatment systems, and medical devices. Before joining Dobrusin IP Law, Allison was an associate at a large international law firm where she focused her patent prosecution practice on mechanical, electromechanical, and biomedical technologies.
Allison received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Michigan Law School and completed her undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. During law school, she participated in the Entrepreneurship Clinic as a student attorney where she successfully prosecuted a patent in the mechanical technology space.
