What Sets Daniela Apart
Daniela brings a rare blend of technical and legal acumen to her role as an intellectual property attorney. Before entering the legal profession, she earned degrees in mechanical, industrial, and systems engineering, plus an MBA, and spent over a decade gaining practical experience in Michigan’s automotive sector.
Daniela’s firsthand experience with product development, manufacturing, and design allows her to quickly grasp her clients’ innovations and translate them into a strong, technically sound IP strategy. Whether she’s working with a start-up or a global manufacturer, Daniela’s engineering background adds considerable value to her patent prosecution and transactional IP work.
Passion for Innovation and Client-Centered IP Strategy
At the core of Daniela’s practice is a commitment to helping clients refine their ideas, protect their innovations, and build long-term value through thoughtful intellectual property strategy. She partners closely with inventors, engineers, executives, and legal teams across a wide range of industries. She balances her counsel with technical depth and business acumen, always keeping her clients’ broader goals in focus. Daniela is known for her ability to make complex IP processes understandable and for delivering practical solutions that support sustainable growth. Her strategic, collaborative approach has earned the trust of clients at every stage of development.
Leadership Beyond the Office
Daniela’s contributions extend far beyond the legal field. She volunteers with organizations dedicated to revitalizing the Pontiac community, preserving local history, and fostering economic opportunity. As a strong advocate for STEAM education, she mentors young students interested in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, and she is a Lecturer for the paralegal program at Oakland University. Daniela’s community involvement and generosity with her time reflect the qualities that the Influential Women of Law award seeks to recognize: leadership, mentorship, and service beyond professional obligations.
