The Dobrusin Law Firm Proudly Supports Double Dog Dare Challenge Benefitting Leader Dogs for the Blind

The Dobrusin Law Firm proudly supported the “Double Dog Dare” challenge benefitting Leader Dogs for the Blind on September 22, 2018.

The Double Dog Dare sent participants over the edge of the Oakland Towne Center in downtown Pontiac, Michigan, safely rappelling 15 stories down the side of the building. Not only was it a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but also raised money for Leader Dog and its ongoing mission to provide programs and services at no cost to clients.

According to founder and shareholder Eric Dobrusin, who also volunteers at Leader Dog in his spare time, “Sponsoring this event and our involvement with Leader Dog meant a great deal to the firm. We are pleased to play a role in giving people who are blind or low vision the opportunity to experience the freedom, safety, and companionship of partnership with a dog.”

Leader Dogs for the Blind is a guide dog training school located in Rochester Hills, Michigan. It was founded in 1939 by Lions Club members Charles Nutting, Don Schuur, and S.A. Dodge as the second guide dog school in the United States. Since then, Leader Dog has paired over 14,000 dogs with the visually impaired worldwide, making it one of the largest organizations of its kind.
